Testimonials

Brenda Larkin

U.S. Marine Corps Veteran

Working with Forward Salute has been an extremely positive experience. From the beginning, I received clear guidance through every step of the VA disability claims process. The process can be confusing and overwhelming, but everything was explained in a way that helped me understand what to expect, what was needed from me, and what would happen next.

I was especially impressed by the responsiveness and follow-through. With Forward Salute's assistance, I received a 70% VA disability rating. After reviewing the VA's decision, they identified areas that appeared to have been missed and immediately helped me submit a supplemental claim to continue pursuing the benefits and rating I may be entitled to receive.

What has stood out most is that the support didn't end once I received my initial rating. They have continued to guide me on the additional documentation needed, the follow-up process, and the steps I should take while my supplemental claim is being reviewed.

I am extremely grateful for the knowledge, patience, responsiveness, and genuine commitment to helping veterans navigate this process. I would highly recommend Forward Salute to any veteran who needs knowledgeable and dedicated assistance with a VA disability claim.

FAQs

Answers to Your Questions About Advancing Your Career and Business

Do I need to have been denied before to work with you?

Not at all. We work with veterans who are filing for the first time and those who've been denied and want to try again. If you've served and have a service-connected condition, we want to help you.

Is Forward Salute part of the VA or a VSO?

No. Forward Salute is an independent, for-profit coaching service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any Veterans Service Organization.

What documents will I need?

We'll guide you through everything — typically your DD 214, VA medical records, military service records, any existing VA rating or benefits letters, and your Intent to File. Don't worry if you're missing something; we'll help you figure out next steps.

What happens after I get started?

You'll receive a Service Agreement to review and sign, access to a secure portal to upload your documents, and scheduled meetings to build your personal claim strategy together.

Do you guarantee a VA rating outcome?

We don't — and we're transparent about that. Outcomes depend solely on the VA's evaluation. What we can guarantee is that you'll file with a clear, well-prepared strategy behind you.

How long does the VA claims process typically take?

The VA claims process can vary widely — some claims are resolved in a few months, while others can take longer depending on the complexity of your case, the evidence submitted, and the VA's current workload. What we focus on is making sure your claim is as complete and well-supported as possible from the start, which can help avoid unnecessary delays or back-and-forth with the VA.
